Snow? Say what?

It snowed the other day! Usually there is just an overcast and some light rain, but it finally snowed! Oh and it was great snow. I mean, just perfect. It only took a second to pack a snowball and then another second to throw it. Maybe add a second for aiming, but regardless the snow was pretty great. Not to mention, most of the people I was with are from Hawaii, so you can imagine the excitement of realizing that there was snow. Falling from the sky. For them it finally became tangible and it was great to see them have fun throwing snowballs, making snowmen, and forming snow angels.

This photo is edited, but trust me, it needed to be. There is a different spot on canvas similar to this that reminds of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of it when there was snow because now it doesn’t have the same effect.

After warming up from playing in the snow we had some great hot cocoa and watched The Heat. We had intended to watch We’re the Millers, but Redbox only has so many copies to give out.

I started exploration of Seattle…Finally.

Unfortunately I was a recluse in my first quarter of college, so I didn’t take to much exploration of the great city that I live in. The transition into college life wasn’t as smooth as I thought it would be seeing as how I was so excited to get out of Colorado. Coming back from winter break with a brighter outlook I have been more outgoing than before. Here is a small showcase of that. Hopefully the reboot from break lasts and I’ll be able to really delve into a great college experience.

I went to Jade Garden with my roomie and a couple other people and this is just a shot of the food we got. It was a very new culinary experience for me, but I liked it.

On my way to the Gum Wall, I found a pig! I have an affinity for them, for whatever reason. I am a boar on the Chinese calendar.

Outside of the first Starbucks—which always has a long line out the door—a group of guys sing some classic songs with their own interpretations. There was a good sized crowd that they sang for. It was easy to be entranced by them because it was obvious they were putting their heart and soul into singing.

I tried to get my own picture of the well-known sign, but I think I’ll have to go back for a better line of view.

In the background the Public Market sign is slightly visible, but only barely. Whenever I take a picture of something I always think of what my dad told me when I went to Europe—a picture is always better if you’re actually in it. So I try and make an effort to be in the picture.

I should have gotten this shirt because it’s very fitting for me. I’m a Frazier in Seattle! It’s just too bad the show spelled the name wrong.

I saw this street sign walking back towards campus from Pikes Place and it amused me.

The journey came to a close as I made it back to my dorm.
